Acoustic monitoring of marine mammals in a changing Arctic: East Greenland
In this program an array of acoustic recorders are moored at four different locations along the Greenland East coast (See figure) . The goal is to start up a long term monitoring program of marine mammals using passive acoustic monitoring. The aim is to retrieve a time series of marine mammal acoustics along the Greenland East coast to monitor changes in species composition, their distribution and their timing in migration. Data over time, can be compared to changes in sea ice distribution, fisheries, physical oceanographic components and others.
