Environmental impact assessments (EIA) related to exploitation of mineral resources; land based and offshore exploration/production; environmental management, environmental monitoring and regulation in the Arctic, oil spill response and prevention; seismic investigations; drilling technologies; land based mines; solid and liquid wastes of mining and off shore production; water treatment; tailings handling; sulfidic-, cyanide-, and radioactive wastes; dust emissions, closing and recultivation

Comments on form of instruction: 4 lectures per week for 13 weeks (e-based), Videolectures (e-learning), 2 group reports incl. assignments, online quizzes. The course is conducted throughout the entire semester.
