Polar Science Days in Goa

Dear All,

Please save the dates for 19-20 November for Polar Science Days in Goa. 

Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Delegation of the European Union to India, Royal Norwegian Embassy to India and Research Council of Norway invites scientists in India and Europe to a two-day event.

The aim of this event is to "Explore shared experiences and upcoming opportunities for Indo-European Polar science collaboration Horizon 2020 call on Arctic". This event will share experiences form ongoing Indo-Norwegian polar and climate projects and targets potential applicants to build consortium for developing jointIndo-European project proposal. The event will offer an exceptional opportunity to present your project idea, or your competence, to all stakeholders from Europe and India. Applicants from other countries may also join EU-India consortia.

Participation is free but for logistical reasons prior registration is mandatory.

Day 1 will share Indo-Norwegian Polar and Climate Research and discuss further avenues.

Day 2 will be an Information & Preparatory Event on the H2020 Arctic Call :  The changing cryosphere: Uncertainties, risks and opportunities

Please note there will be poster sessions for students. An Indian student will be awarded a trip to Arctic Frontier 2019  for best poster. 

We hope that many interested and potential applicants from Europe will be able to travel to India for this unique cooperation opportunity.Please find attached draft agenda about the event schedule. Feel free to circulate to NCP of your country and relevant organisations in India and Europe.
