Shooting course (I + II)

Shooting course designed for persons who bring along weapons as a means of self-defense against polar bears and other potentially dangerous animals in connection with scientific fieldwork in Greenland.

SHOOTING COURSE (I) Compulsory theory part with a focus on safe handling and familiarity with the rifle (dry training). Operational functions are trained with recognizable click cartridges together with introductions to good weapon routines and review of the use of the signal gun as a deterrent. The theory part (2 hours) takes place at GEUS on the day prior to the practical shooting training, see below. 

SHOOTING COURSE  (II) Compulsory practical shooting exersises that focuses on pulse and stress resilience. The practical shooting takes place at a shooting range outside Copenhagen on the day after the theory.

Including sandwich and still water. Remember to bring warm clothes (according to previsions) and maybe something hot to drink.
Certificates are issued after attendance to the full course, ie. I + II.
