Science / project plan

GEUS led an expedition to the Skaergaard intrusion in Kangerlussuaq Fj., East Greenland between 1. Aug and 15 Sept.  The 6-strong team included participants from the Universities of Cambridge and Exeter.  The team flew into Tasiilaq and sailed to Skaergaard with Siggi Tours, and were then based for the field period from a tented camp. The aim of the project was to collect field data and observations to gain better understanding of magma chamber processes and the formation of Fe-Ti-V-Ga deposits in layered mafic intrusions.
