I am a physical oceanographer working on ocean-glacier interaction in Northeast Greenland.
In November 2017, I finished my PhD at the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, on ocean-glacier interaction at the 79 North Glacier, located in Northeast Greenland. I have been on a number of expeditions with German research vessels (polar, subpolar, as well as subtropical campaigns). For my analyses I mainly use hydrographic and current speed data measured from the ship and/or from moored instruments to better understand the role and variability of Atlantic waters on melting marine terminating glaciers at the East coast of Greenland.
